Economy impacts student choice

Idaho institutions cut courses to save money.

Idaho college and university students have fewer options because of the poor economy.

The State Board of Education says more than 70 degree programs have been cut in order to save money. Forty other courses including minor and certificate programs have also been eliminated.

An additional 20 programs are in danger of being removed as institutions consolidate to cut costs.
