BOISE, Idaho - Boise State’s rally from 17 down early in the second half came up short Wednesday night as the Broncos lost 75-66 to UNLV in a Mountain West women’s basketball game in Taco Bell Arena at Boise. Down 17 with 14:39 to play, Boise State rallied pulling to within four points twice in the final four minutes. The last came when Lauren Lenhardt hit two free throws with 3:22 remaining to cut the deficit to 66-62. Unfortunately, UNLV regrouped to hold off the Broncos by out scoring them nine to four in crunch time to get the nine point road victory.

Three Broncos reached double-figure points led by Lenhardt and freshman Keiahnna Engel with 14 apiece, followed by Kati Isham with 10. Kinzi Poteet led on the boards with nine rebounds while Lenhardt added seven.

Next up for Boise State is the final home game of the season when the Broncos host the University of Wyoming Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. (Mountain) in Taco Bell Arena. It will be Senior Day for Boise State’s three seniors Heather Pilcher, Kati Isham and Nicole Brady.
